Turning something and folding something are different skills. This task looks at the folding side — standing a flat shape up into a solid in your head. It gets much easier once you remember that opposite faces of a cube can never end up next to each other.
How it works
- A flat net is laid out at the top, with a different mark on each of its six faces.
- Pick the solid it would make once folded, from the four below.
- After you answer, the net actually folds — right or wrong, you see it happen.
The marks are shapes, not colours. Exactly one of the four is correct; in the others, two faces have swapped places.
