Answer each item on a 5-point scale from 'strongly disagree' to 'strongly agree'. There are no right answers — going with your first instinct gives a result closer to your actual tendencies. When you finish you'll get dimension scores, your headline type, and an interpretation with practical advice.

FAQ

What is the Dark Triad?

It's a cluster of three personality tendencies described by Paulhus and Williams (2002): Machiavellianism (handling people and situations strategically), narcissism (feeling special and wanting recognition), and psychopathy (emotional coolness and impulsivity). These are not disorders — they're continuous traits everyone carries to a different degree.

How should I read my result?

Each of the three traits gets a 0-100 score with a high, medium, or low level, and a radar chart shows at a glance which trait stands out. You also get an overall profile summary based on your combined level. The key is not the total but which trait stands out — and how it plays out in your relationships and work.

Does a high score mean I'm a bad person?

No. The score is neither a moral verdict nor a diagnosis — it only shows the strength of a tendency. Strategic thinking can become negotiation skill, self-assurance can become leadership, and boldness can become composure in a crisis. That said, if you notice these tendencies creating repeated friction in your relationships, consciously adding empathy and honesty is a good self-regulation point.

How often should I retake it? Can the result change?

Personality tendencies are fairly stable, so once every six to twelve months is enough. During highly stressful or competitive periods, though, defensive answering can push scores temporarily higher. Saving your results lets you compare across time and tell a passing spike from a steady pattern.
