Type overview
Type 7's head is always full of intriguing possibilities. New ideas, new people, new travels, new projects arise endlessly, and you have abundant energy to start them. With the ability to shift your gaze quickly to the next possibility even in hard situations, your resilience is very strong.
But at the root of that current there is often the unconscious fear that 'if I stay, pain will follow.' So you find it hardest to remain in place amid heavy emotion or situations with no visible answer. You start many things at once, but a pattern of postponing deep follow-through appears often, and there are times you regret impulsive decisions.

The direction of stress and security
When secure & healthy — When secure, you draw on Type 5, the Investigator, and scattered curiosity gathers deeply onto one thing, with calm immersion emerging. It's a current where joy ripens into depth.
Under stress — As stress deepens, you move toward Type 1, the Reformer, and unlike your usual self a critical, perfectionistic side may show strongly. Criticism toward yourself grows fierce as well.
When secure, you draw on Type 5, the Investigator. Curiosity scattered here and there gathers deeply onto one topic, and calm immersion emerges. As joy that once spread wide ripens into depth, you gain the power to finish what you start.
As stress deepens, you move toward Type 1, the Reformer. Your usual ease vanishes and a critical, perfectionistic side shows strongly; it's a period when criticism grows fierce toward others and toward yourself alike.
In relationships
You're a fun partner, but you can avoid deep conversation or times of heavy emotion. Deliberately creating experiences of passing through difficulty together—not only light enjoyment—deepens the relationship.
Work & environment
You shine in work where variety and creativity are valued. Planning, marketing, media, travel, teaching, or founding a company—fields that change fast and welcome new attempts—suit you well.
Path of growth
The key is practicing staying in this present moment. It helps to place time in your day that doesn't move fast—meditation, breathing, slow walking—and to train yourself, when an uncomfortable feeling arises, to stay just a little longer rather than flee.
The two wings — Type 6 and Type 8
